DBT Practitioner Course is a comprehensive six-month program designed for students and professionals who want to develop a deeper understanding of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and build structured practical skills for working with complex emotional and behavioural concerns.

The program combines detailed theoretical learning with practical skill development, case formulation, treatment planning, behavioural analysis, role plays and supervised learning. Participants are introduced to the DBT model, dialectics, validation, mindfulness and acceptance-based strategies while gaining practical exposure to the application of DBT skills.

  • Interactive Training — 80 Hours

Comprehensive instructor-led sessions covering CBT theories, models, techniques, case formulation and practical application.

  • Guided Self-Learning — 30 Hours

Reading material and recorded resources to support independent learning and reinforce concepts discussed during live sessions.

  • CBT Worksheets & Skill Practice — 20 Hours

Structured practice with CBT worksheets and selected cognitive and behavioural techniques.

  • Case Formulation Assignments & Case Discussions — 15 Hours

Participants work with case situations to develop formulations and discuss possible intervention approaches.

  • Supervised Practicum — 10 Hours

Guided practical work involving application of CBT skills, practical exercises and viva.

  • Final Assessment — 5 Hours

Final MCQ examination along with viva/case discussion.

Practical Work

Practical learning is a central part of the DBT Practitioner Course.​

During the six-month program, participants will complete:

  • 10 DBT Worksheets

  • 5 Case Conceptualisations

  • 3 Detailed DBT Case Reports

  • 2 Complete Treatment Plans

  • 1 Case Presentation

  • 1 Final Viva

The practical work is designed to help participants gradually develop their ability to understand cases, formulate problems and plan structured DBT-based interventions.
