DBT Advanced Certification is a three-month intermediate-level program designed for learners who already have a basic understanding of psychology, counselling or DBT and want to develop stronger practical skills in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

The program focuses on developing a deeper understanding of the DBT model and treatment philosophy while providing practical exposure to mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, case formulation and structured DBT interventions.

The course builds on foundational DBT concepts and gradually moves towards more structured application.

Practice with commonly used CBT worksheets and basic techniques.

 

  • Case Formulation — 7 Hours

Application of concepts to case situations and basic case conceptualisation.

 

  • Final Assessment — 10 Hours

MCQ examination along with viva/case discussion.

Practical Work

Practical learning is an important part of the three-month program.

Participants will be required to complete:

  • 5 DBT Worksheets

  • 2 Cognitive Formulations

  • 2 Detailed DBT Case Reports

  • 2 Complete Treatment Plans

  • 1 Case Presentation

  • 1 Final Viva

The practical activities are designed to help participants understand how CBT concepts can be organised and applied to individual cases.

 

All required submissions are mandatory for certification.
